  1. Should be.. those Common Rails are nasty and mean in power. 3.0L 1KD-FTV developing 170HPs and 2.5L 2KD-FTV developing 120HP.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_KD_engine Brand new double cabs sold by the Agents are 2.5L ones if i remember correct..
  2. My dad got a license in category A-1 (Light motor coaches). i think he can drive those Land cruisers with 61- plates, Big Commuter Vans and light trucks. but that license was issued in golden days. no idea whether they are issuing such license now. and good thing is he doesnt need to renew the license in 5 years.
  3. Lol ^^ that reminds me a spiced up 3 wheeler
  4. is this common to any motor spares that we got from eBay? example like spark plugs?
  5. Those cabs registered as Lorries right? hence the low prices (low taxes) i guess. Dual purpose (C1) license owners need to upgrade their Driving License to drive those am i correct? saw a Vigo cab with a projector head lights near Kirulapone Car sale..
  6. is this a Universal kit machan?
  7. They've mentioned that oil used by them is Mobil (probably Super XHP 15W 40) fact that most of the latest motors require you to put thinner oil than 40. for example 1.8 motor in my car require viscosity 30. since it has more than 100,000 Kms now, im using 40. is it safe to put 30 oil in high mileage engine?
  8. Saw a ad in newspapers saying Kleen park promoting a package for 4000/- for Oil change, Oil filter change and under carriage and a body wash. no idea about the brand of the filter..
  9. I Always wash my Car Engine at home using normal garden hose. and i use a normal house hold De-greaser / Cleaning liquid to remove dirt and oil. since the 1ZZ-FE Engine doesn't have any distributor (Ignition coil on top of the plugs, almost inside) i didn't ran into any problems. you should be careful not to sprinkle any water into Fuse boxes, relays, Alternator etc, or cover up them with Foil. never use high pressure water to clean engine bay.
  10. Second hands, should be..
  11. Kelisas comes with Auto Boxes if i remember correct..
  12. well it looks like a lowered cayenne (another horrible design) to me. looks like they are targeting Beemer, Merc, lexus markets.
  13. Kicha, How about a RAV4 ? there was a RAV4 2.0 liter Manual for sale in AL classifieds. guess that would suit for most of your needs.. no idea about the fuel consumption though..
  14. Here's the entire brochure with 4wd version. http://rapidshare.com/files/289468605/Hilu...ng_Cab.pdf.html
  15. but there's a King Cab version as well (With Rear Bench seat with belts, but 2 doors). have driven one with the 3 litre 1KD-FTV Common rail Engine, must tell you that's a beast. This is the one I'm talking, but a 4WD
  16. Car maniac, thanks machan for the info. Will check that place.
  17. Yes, that penetrate oil used to spray into undercarriage is ruin Suspension bushings and degrade chassis undercoat.
  18. Jadey, Thanks for the great write up machan, i did the same on mine couple of months ago. and now it's time to do it again. this time got another headache, cos one of the Fog Lamps/Driving lights got busted (See the picture). do you guys know any place that can repair the lamp without using stickers inside the reflector (Check with the Delkanda usual joint, but the bugger quoted me something around 4000/- just to repair using stickers ) mind you pair of new lamps of these will cost around 20,000/-. so I'm looking for some easy way out.

  20. Yes as maikk99 said, saw couple of newspaper ads. but next week they all gone. so i guess second hand market would be OK. you would be amazed with the fuel consumption for a 1800CC. Ideal vehicle for cruising i must say.

    Toyota L Touring

Mate, Go to cars-directory then note down the appropriate Frame Code for the L touring Model (For example L touring Manual Diesel Wagon Frame Code should be KE-CE101G-AWMNE). if it's a Genuine L Touring Diesel M/T, the Frame Code (VIN Plate under the hood) should match with the vehicle advertised for sale. with this method you would be able to understand whether it's a Genuine L touring, Auto Tranny converted to Manual etc.
  22. Well we got the same model but 2002 manufactured. got it for same price but 2 years back. i guess it's a good deal if it maintained properly. Ample power (1ZZ-FE 140HP, Same as US spec corolla engine) for a corolla. slightly different and unique Auto Tranny than regular Corolla (U341E which is shared among Celica GT). using the car for like 2 years now without any problems so far. Most of the parts are common with 121 series. (Lately replaced throttle body gasket, which shared the same gasket type with 1500CC model). there were couple of forum members with this Model including our dear Admin Madz
  23. Hi Guys i found this really helpful when buying Bulbs. http://reviews.ebay.com/quot-Xenon-quot-an...000000001832221
  24. Probably it should pop a Error code (Associated with VVT-i Controller) when scanned with a Diagnostic scanner.
  25. Ha ha, caught with pants down. good one Madz.. Looks like he's the one in deep trouble with his business.. LMAO
