Asian alliance is a very decent company AFIK . I had policies with them for 03 years and had 02 accidents and the values over 150000 Rs in both the cases and payed me in a very reasonable way.I just changed to SLI because of a coporate package.

Actually purpose of having a seperate insurance cover for windsheild is When you claim you will not loose the no claim bonus .

I had the same issue when I used a EK3 some time back and sorted out after replacing the clutch plate. Waruna did the repair and the pressure plate was ok.

You can't down load the local map to JDM version. My wife's DEMIO has one and I tried but failed.

Since your car has done more than 100000 km, , You could use 15-40 . Havolin or Mobil. All makes are more or less same.I would recomend HONDA auto transmission oil for your AT box. You could buy it from either Agent or Tech motors.

One of GM s of SENOK who lived next door told me that spares are bit expensive and it cost about 50000 Rs for front disc pads as an example. Please recheck with agents.

Auto oil type is indicated in the oil dip stick in some cars.

You can't expect a good fuel economy on high ways . My ave. speed was 120km/Hr and I reached 177km/hr also on a stretch (Just tried out for a while). If you could do between 70-80 km/Hr on a flat road like polonnaruwa , Anuradapura or Kanthale in early hours or late nights,probably it will do as you thought but I have never done.

I have gone twice on Galle express way , 10km/Lt only (200 km on high way+ aprox 150 Km on city running)

What I mention ed 8.5 -9 km/lt is my own experience for last one and half years. I filled the tank everyweek and I never got less than 8 in any occasion. Daily I travel from Malabe to Fort in the morning at 06.20 A.M. and most of the days at 5.00 PM back to Malabe.

FD1 in colombo 8.5-9 Km/Lt and out station max 10 Km/Lt. These figures are for my driving style(bit fast) pl.FD 4 is bit under powered for me.

Similer type of a issue came in my wife's car some time back. 12-13 old cars tends to give auto box problems if those are not maintained properly. I got the box changed rather than reparing it. Cost me about 25000 Rs and never gave any problems until we sold it after a year or so.

Who says A18 is faster than FD1 ? Only advantage of A18 may be fuel.

Our company has a Soluna. It is a good reliable econo box. It does ave.10 km/Lt in city driving. Our drivers never think of fuel consumption, Therefore I think it should do better if you drive in a better way.

Check your coil springs as well. Tokiko is the factory fitted one. KYB is bit stiffer.

I could not locate the cabin air filter of My wife's Demio (Y.O.M.2007) . I have my doubt whether it's equipped with cabin filters. Could any body comment on this please? Rgds, Jagath

Agent says 70000 km. I changed my one When it was 75000 Km on the meter.
