I drove a EK3 more than 5 years in colombo before I bought a Es 1. Beleive me my car was in superb condition and did maintenence in time right through out at Stafford and even you don't feel that engine is running when you are on the driving seat. It did only 10 km per litre in colombo and out station(Colombo- Gampola) did only 12 km/lt . This figures are exactly correct sine I pump gas always full tank. Any way I am not a slow or modarate driver.

Bro if the bearings and the piston/cylinders are not effected, you may flush engine (One stuff is available at Laugh koswatte) and use any minaral oil. Havoline is good. You can use Mobil also.

Is it a sludge formation issue? But i have never heard it comes to Mazda engine. If u change minaral oil in every 5000 km you never have sludge problems in machines(except toyota vvt engines )

Honda CVT gear box issues are critical. You have to look after like a baby also make sure the oil change is done in evry 20000 km with HONDA CVT gear box oil. Oil is available at the agent and Tech motors. Still you have problems with pulling or gear changing you may go to the Agent or Upul at Malabe.Upul's contact no is 0777735251.

Is it effected to EPS racks as well??

Acutuaaly galant is very good comfortable car only thing is spares are bit expensive because it is a heigher grade car. One of my very good friends were keen to buy one but he has given up the idea because of cost of maintenance. If you have money galant is a good buy.
