  1. it doesnt restrict them from posting on existing threads just creating new posts
  2. maybe just block newbies from creating new topics...let them be active until they are upgraded to member status to open up new topics..anyone who sticks around until there post count is considered sufficient to be upgraded to member status would be around the forum for enough time to get to know how things work around here plus get answers to basic and frequent questions they might have like fuel efficiency and market price of an allion
  3. your comparing 2 SUV`s and one premium league car...id prob say go for the monty sport or the A6 depending on whether you prefer to have SUV or a car
  4. generally the workshop manual for your manual will have the oil pressure for the engine
  5. problem with bio diesel is the so called "diesel bug" messes up the filters, pumps and injectors on a large scale there is something called bio-cide which ppl use to counteract the effects
  6. i have seen a few lift kits for the 2wd might come in handy if your looking at doing it...plus you can gain some height with tyres only problem would be you might have to sew off the corner bit of the front lip which is fixed below the buffer.
  7. machan when you convert a vehicle from what it was intended to use to a something different youll face mechanical problems more unique than running a factory spec 4wheeler...most of the vehicles you looked at were prob hacked visually but mechanically should be in decent condition as they are meant to run 500k and over with minimal rebuilding a bit of elbow grease and alot of love over the weekends you can have it running like brand new believe me ive done it and considered converting my @wheeler to 4 but decided to sell and upgrade to a 4wheeler..also your looking at buying something 18 years old assuming 1994 which means its bound to need a lot of replacing parts anyway so why not find a decent specimen and do it up i can direct you to part suppliers.just hit a search on AL buy section you generally get a 10 hits on a given day within your price.
  8. its possible but not sure if its worth the effort you will put for it...plus if you want to legalize it youll have to weight it again at the RMW. you forgot about the suspension as well...know few aussie forums where they are doing it...a 54-XXXX nissan fourwheeler goes for around 2-2.1Mn it might be cheaper for you to get one of those and sell your current wheels
  9. it only cost about 2000 - 2500 to replace the injectors so 1500 to clean them sounds ok..just quick question though..did the smoke start coming after this whole diesel fiasco with CPC if thats the case you might have gunk in your tank which is screwing your injectors and injector pump
  10. 1) Change the retard mechanic of yours 2) Check for belt slip 3) Check the lines for leaks 4) Bleed the line
  11. it might be cheaper and less time consuming for you to get a new vehicle in decent condition..and from the description you have given it looks like a writeoff your trying to get back into shape...
  12. it might be a problem in the switch that just needs a bit of cleaning up
  13. shows how reliable the test are right...
  14. think the wii is more appropriate for them or like the other guys said a pc
  15. they got delisted after they paid a $160M fine sometime back....totally agree with you on this..its sad really that half the population dont realize that they voted donkeys in to the system and now they are just exploiting that opportunity and ramming our asses literally
  16. pumped super diesel from IOC near SBC and same from Laugh Kohuwela no issues so far...but pumping at this rate seems like its cheapo to run on petrol now...
  17. its been discussed in quite a few bike forums the answer is the effort, time and cost spent on it is not worth the benefit you`ll reap out of it. its only a 250Cc after all. You could prob spend the same amount or even less to get a decent 400CC which would pass off as a 250 much better than say a 600cc or a 750cc
  18. i can only face palm for this.....its a given thing if you go to darley road....illagena kama also comes to my mind
  19. check wuts recommended for your car and engine and then go ahead with using coolant...if you have a owners manual it should say what sought of coolant, grade and mix you should use
  20. YALA

    4 X 4 Oil Change

oil and oil filter, also air filter if you traveling on dirt roads quite frequently if not every 10 k for it..my service manual says check levels every 24k for differentials but dont speak about replacing but when you do inspect im sure you will be able to decide whether it needs replacing or not
  21. nope it was on mute when i watched it....
  22. clearly organizers were`nt prepared for it i didnt see any on call paramedics or an ambulance...motor sports as a whole is dangerous business including for the spectators its the spectators responsibility to stay within the designated spectator zone...i read on another forum where a guy tried to help some one stuck and lost an eye when the hi lift jack failed im sure there are more than enough examples around in the same caliber. this is a good eye opener for both those groups to improve future events...im surprised with all the experienced people around at the place they tried to winch it without even using shackles to reduce the strain from the angle and the curb
  23. + 1 on that they should be more strict with the our ppl going to check on things upclose..plus this should be an eye opener for checking safety issues with the equipment they run
  24. sadly missed out on the last 3 seasons of local competitions completely...reckon there are quite a few good rigs now running given that the local chaps have plenty of access to resources
  25. or those daihatsu rocky`s and suzuki jimmy`s i seen a few aussie forums where they have some neat rigs made out of these..
