You can not get a "English Number" for almost any vehicle Best you stick with a Honda - Since you feel it's a better car . Honda is a good car by all means, and reliability is better too. This subject has been discussed many times, hence no need to bitch about what brand is better. To leave a small note : Handa, Toyoya both have had factory recalls in the past few months.

How Much Does It Cost To Replace A Cvt Gearbox?
mazdaspeed replied to Ratadel's question in Mechanical problems
Since no expert has put up anything, will try to help in a small Way with a contact. There a plc. In Madinnagoda road, called Nilwala Motors who specialize in Gear box ONLY. You can check with them on the prices, repairs, faults – PM if you want the contact. One advise, make sure you know /check the car with a CVT box, I went through some troublesome times after switching to a simple tiptronic box for the first time in my life. The above guy sorted it and now it’s fab, but still wannna go back to a manual. -
There no harm, in fact it’s good you changed your fuel filter as it’s supposed to be changed at 80K. Besides with the high quality petrol we have and the fabulous sheds, you will be suppressed at the amount of gunk you get in the filter- I too replaced mine . I too had the same symptoms but it went away after the 2nd day. How long back did you change it ? The petrol pump could be blamed if it’s failing. You will need to see if the same give the correct pressure. I did not change mine, but so far no issues.

I came across a place which sold Night breakers- Thought I might as well share the info if any one is interested. ( Not intended to advertise ) It was a 55/60 W bulbs, Osram Night breakers, cost was apx Rs. 3000/- Location : Supreme Motors on the high level road between Delkanda Pola & Universitiy junction – on the right side when coming from Nugegoda.

So the Permits issued to gov. employees now can be sold easily, This brings us to another question : Isn’t this permit given to government employees as a benefit for them . The cost of getting a permit will shoot up for sure .

Which Autogear Mechanic You Recommend...?
mazdaspeed replied to chan5's question in Mechanical problems
It’s been almost 1 ½ weeks after the repair and I’ve already had to give in to a 2nd chance ….. Last Sunday Friday I started to get the old symptoms again,; car did not pull forward after engaging in D position for about 4/6 seconds, gradually during the weeks it took even longer. So since I had a warenty, Nilwala guys asked me to bring it in, and too it on last Thursday, and took it back on Saturday. He said the recon hub he put had some issues and he had replaced it with another. So It was not fixed on the first attempt, hoping this new “Hub” will last, if it does for how long is also a question. Shall keep forum posted. Note : RS auto engineering in Seeduwa is also an option for those who leave near the areas, Since the distance was an issue for me, I had to drop it. Workshop is very methodical and he said he need to diagnose the problem and then only give a price. He did not quote a blind figure off his head; for me that’s a good start . -
Not too sure on the information but can try the following Clay Bar – 3M had them and they were sold by Pan audio – Kolpitty can even give the head office a call and check. Wurth should have them, located near the WA De Silva showroom in Nugegoda Meguiars products- at Motorcade near Empire residencies

Which Autogear Mechanic You Recommend...?
mazdaspeed replied to chan5's question in Mechanical problems
Hi nano31 He replaced a few things, O rings, Solenoid, the plates and the vehicle speed sensor as well with some other parts. Since I asked around from a few other fellows who have repairs on the same box, I got the same list of parts that would change , so I was expecting the same reply form Nilwala guy ( Chandana). I’m hoping it works, he said I should not have an issue even after 6 months but I guess I have to wait & see. But all in all happy with his work. -
Which Autogear Mechanic You Recommend...?
mazdaspeed replied to chan5's question in Mechanical problems
Finally decided to get the bloody GB fixed as the issue was getting worse, with the help of you guys on AL and specially Chan5 , I too chose to with Nilwala Motors – 1. Since it was closer & 2 he seemed to know the issue and was straight up with the matters of solving it. Issues : On a cold start, when you put it in to D position, the car did not move, when I shifted to Manual mode (Tiptronic) it took less time to move forward, after the oil heated, shifted well. I gave her on a weekday (Thursday) evening and took her back on Saturday morning and she worked fine. No issue so far and as said by Chan5, I got a 6 months warranty, although it too early to celebrate, I shall keep all posted on the developments. So far all looks well . -
Glad to hear you are happy with the Achilles tyre’s , Im planning to them as budget is a bit tight. The price have gone up though Apx Rs. 10700/- for a 195/60/15. Hope it handles well in wet condition

Which Autogear Mechanic You Recommend...?
mazdaspeed replied to chan5's question in Mechanical problems
I’m having a similar problem, during cold start’s when you engage gear to D it does not move, till the oil heats up which take a few minuets. Gear boxes are on the high side for my Mazda & even repairing takes about 30K. So now trying hard to decide, Do I repair it and be prepared for god knows what other issues I have inside my box Get a recon and pray (a lot) that the one I chose is Ok. I’ve met Nilwala guy and a few other like Mazna & another chap. Just can’t decide what to do …. Any advice you guys can give please ??? -
