Lancer Or Axio? Update: Bought A Lancer! (Aka The B.r.a.t.t. Thread)
Clark's son replied to Bracket's question in Car Buying Information
I also love our vehicles and i spend a minute or two with them in the garage before i go to sleep, and when i'm fed up of working i go to our garage and look at them and think of the fun times that we shared(with the vehicles) But the thing is we have a badge loyality too and we had a mitsubishi in our garage for more than 1/2 of my life time, so I don't like Mitsubishi being condemned, I never expect them to close down, as the same was told around 2000 for Kia, Ssangyong and even Nissan but a decade later the brands still excists. And even if by any chance it will close down we would maintain our mitsubishis extreamly well as there won't be any new ones produced.- 800 replies

Lancer Or Axio? Update: Bought A Lancer! (Aka The B.r.a.t.t. Thread)
Clark's son replied to Bracket's question in Car Buying Information
Best of wishes for you'r new ride. As a Mitsubishi user almost from birth I'm completely sure you'r new car will satisfy you for the 5yrs till you'r next permit in a way that you will chose to buy another Mitsubishi for it (like what we do ). My preference would be black with beige interior but if you have small kids specially boys it's better to go for a darker interior, not to forget the dog. Or else if there was pearl white with it a black leather interior to make it even more sporty.(but as i heard they don't offer that color.) And i think the projection head lamps will make the mean face of the lancer even more meaner. but i don't think for the budget of the car it would be worth to put down 400 000 for it, A 1.3 Axio is no match for the lancer, specially as you are living in a hill country (around Matale i suppose, from you'r posts) you will have a hard time going up in a 1.3L As to the lancer 1.6L it will be a pleasure to drive. It will be even more fun if it was a manual. The other thing you could have considered for the budget would be a Hyundai or a Kia I guess the entry level sportage may be within you'r reach, those Koreans manual gears are a joy to shift specially in winding roads. But it's a pleasure to see a topic starting with an axio having a happy ending. Oops this should not be ended post pics of you'r new baby as soon as you get it. And regarding the petrol use 95octane if the company says so, but if they agree that 92 is adequate there is no need of wasting money on 95octane.- 800 replies

The Montero imported for the permit brought down from the agents is 100% Made in Japan and the chassis number confirms it. The 4M41 in the company Montero is from japan alright but it different from the JDM Pajero. The Pajero engine has a little bit more horses in exchange it has to be fed with higher quality diesel which is a rear thing in our country, one shot of the miracle oil that we get which turns off even locomotives and the Pajero 4M41 will have it. The Montero has less horses but can withstand the bad diesel found in our country. The Montero and Pajero comparison will be like the GDi and the V6 of the previous gen Pajero and Montero, The JDM Pajero needed higher quality fuel than the Agent brought Montero V6 And the Pajero GDi had a lot of issues with our poor quality fuel. The Montero 4M41 can even be fed with the normal Diesel but the company recommends super, And for the Pajero or Shogun Our super will even be not enough. The 4D56 is an excellent engine but has less power than the 4M41, I think the Sport has it because it shares a lot with the L200 cab which has the 4D56, But I'm a fan of the 4D56 as I have done a lot of miles on them and they never gave me trouble, so i wan't comment on it. And for the F10 let the euro experts decide.

That's what choosing a car is all about. Best of luck for you'r new ride and take care of her.

Visits the the agent is reduced because they are maintained by the local Makabas and co after the warranty is over.
-
They park the car in some place and charge labor hours for that. People buy toyotas because they are so called cheap to maintain if they are going to toy*ta Lank* They might as well get an Audi and maintain it at the company

Registration Of New Permit Vehicles Restricted!
Clark's son replied to edsal's topic in General Automotive
So this closes the loop hole that people used to bring fully loaded versions of basic models that where allowed for the permit. As if they are cough undervaluing to bring into the given CIF range they will have to pay the full Duty for the vehicle, Which is Rs. 19.5 for a montero (as told by the company.) And permit holders should be extremely careful as to who they are selling the permit and what he is going to do with it because if the person who bought it imports something above the values he will lose permits for the rest of his working days and also may kind of lose his job. And the price has increased by around 1mill. Not sure of the calculations. -
