  1. How this info is available to the next potential buyer of a car?! I might be wrong but it's highly doubtful that all Laugh joints conducting the test write this info to a central DB.
  2. Machang, isn't price point a major decision when choosing to buy a car? Might not be for everyone but for a lot of people it is. Hence, one reason for the popularity of Prius IMHO. It applies to a lot of other things as well. Garages, cushion work places, ICE joints etc... People go to different places 'cos it's cheaper than the other and they think they're getting a service that's worth for the money they spent.
  3. Funny. On many different threads, Peri, you go to great lengths to show the "newbies" that you are a man of precision and cannot correctly infer a spelling mistake and sh*t like that. It's ok if you're autistic, if not it's a bit disturbing. Anyhoo, there has been a lot of "holier than thou" comments coming from the old timers here in AL. Some folks here, including me don't give a rat's arse what other ppl drive. People are here to get their questions answered and increase their knowledge in automobiles in the local context. Sometimes it feels like a bunch of grumpy old fellows having a european car orgy [this point not related to showing the newbies the attitude, unrelated to the preceding sentences]. I'm sorry to be dramatic. Be a little bit considerate of newbies. And if you're having a bad day don't make newbies here in AL as a means to express your anger. Thanks.
  4. ROTFL! Almost spilled my glass of water on the keyboard!
  5. Machang! Seriously?? Where was this?
  6. Machang, you felt the difference in your day to day slow running or, say when you're doing more than 80?
  7. In tank cleaners help you to keep your injectors in good working order after you get your injectors cleaned by either manual/ultrasonic manner. Specially when you pump 90 octane. Advice from my tuning guy.
  8. Machang, where can I get my injectors cleaned ultrasonically? Your place at Seeduwa seems to be a bit far away .. any place around Rajagiriya area? If not can come there as well.
  9. True that. A gold plated diga prado may be?
  10. Sweet! Love that silver EG8!
  11. You really need only one tip from the above article. "USE PUBLIC TRANSIT OR ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION WHENEVER POSSIBLE". Ludicrous!
  12. It was indeed my heavy footed driving and not due to bad petrol. Drove with a very light foot after this and it's back to normal.
  13. Sean, The argument route doesn't end that well. Problem is these morons can charge you for anything. Say if you flash your lights to signal for other cops and you get stopped. What if he wrote you a ticket for reckless driving? You can't argue this in court. And this is a very serious problem.
  14. I listen to discographies. These days Opeth and Slipknot.
  15. dude! \m/
  16. Yes. Gas station next to Pelawatta Keels Super market (right in the junction) is notorious for this. I never pump petrol there.
  17. Jeez, I noticed this too. Was attributing to my heavy footed driving the past week or so. Will be more vigilant about the consumption. Have about three quarters left on the tank.
  18. I'm impressed! Probably the smartest thing you said all year! Big fan!
  19. Been using an Amron. Not having to check the battery fluid level is a plus for me.
  20. Prius HIDs generate just as much as glare as any other after market HIDs on a non projector housing. Meh.

And you know what? It's outrageously expensive to replace it seems. Ranging from $200 - $450 a bulb! Just try searching "prius hid light problem"

  21. Yeah. You have a point there.
  22. To Harshan machang, sorry I didn't quote.
  23. Well machang, the thing is it should happen at some point isn't it? Why wasn't it adopted earlier? I dunno, probably they were too expensive and people didn't had that kind of money. I'm not saying the borrowing culture is good now but it has started to happen now so why not embrace it? It's not ideal what's going on now but very little things in life are. May be things will, hopefully turn to better when bitch and mourn through word of mouth and through like this forum and get the word across.
