  1. Thats not true. Diesel is always economical and resale value always increases far more than patrol. Go for a diesel. They are good cars and amazingly economical. Before u buy make sure its in good health though and doesnt need any repairs in the near future. Good luck and enjoy.
  2. WOW nice feed back. Thanks guys for the info. I actually saw this first on a 121 and it looked pretty cool and so i wondered where he might have got it. I doubt the one i saw was a tint paper. I also saw the same thing on a Toyota Vigo cab, Looks quite funky. Not sure what it does to the light though. Will have to get it and see he he
  3. Definitely a 121 by far

  7. Definitely a startlet. Very economical and reliable.
  8. Exactly he never says what his car is?
  9. People keep forwarding you cos it cant be done. If it was possible this country would be infested with old cars brought down from many parts of the world and the relevant Tax paid. Money is not an issue to most importers, the only issue is the age of the vehicle etc. From the stuff i have heard its not possible to register this the legal way. I also recommend you to not get involved in trying as this can land you in serious trouble and even in Jail. you never told me what your car is ??
  10. So if you knew the way to do this right why post on Autolanka asking if it can be registered? What i dont understand is if there is a way to do this right and you knew the process and also at the same time willing to pay the Tax why post something like this? you may be genuine and i respect that but just trying to understand. I too tried to find out if this could be done and i think the rules have been changed now and they are hunting down all these cars so they can be shipped back to where they came from. By the way whats the car you got?
  11. well done, what a nice job.
  12. What i meant was to save money and go for a better one. For people like JDNET you can go do yourself.

Make sure the battery is good. then put a bit of petrol down the throat of the carb and fire it up. It shoudl start. ( Also make sure u got enough fuel.)
  15. Delkanda strip should be the place.
  16. The one i got from Samarasinghe was awesome and was a two layer one. No difference compared to the original one.
  17. If the timing of the engine is out it can cause the engine to start at different temperatures. Also check if the Distributor cap is clean and there is nothing on the terminals inside. If there is clean them up and it might work.
  18. Try ignition timing. 50 oil wont do much. also check dizi cap.
  19. A new windscreen will cost 10,000Rs fitted.
  20. Sha7 what was the car you brought and transferred?
  21. Whats the car? Most European cars need the thermostat to re circulate water. So if this is taken out then your vehicle will over heat.
  22. Whats ur reliable source ?
  23. Doesn't affect the speedo at all as 6.5 is the width. It would be ok to do a wheel balancing and wheel alignment.
