Stock 110 would do wonders, even at mud bogging, will need a good set of tyres though. unless they are thoroughly done up or in a new state, reliability will be a concern. Comfort is out of the question though, if you are planning to go into mud, take another backup car as well because even a competition level off roader can get stuck given the right conditions

Guys, How come the Alto Lapin hasn't hit the shores that much? Looks nice and the interior is pleasant. Much better than the boxy one. Also I feel like lowering it and “do some upgrading” would do wonders

Yes bro. In the Q3. Lexus comes with JBL.Actually the new lineup of Audi`s now come with B & O. But personally, I like Bose better. Bose just has that punch in bass,which is heaven. You wont regret it. ps. Try to replace the speakers with Bose as well.At least on the rear 2. Soo worth it.

The Mira is OK - a bit under-powered but ok for an old lady. The cheapest would be the Kei Alto.
Hideous as it may look something like a spacia might be something the elderly prefer as it is relatively easy to get in and out of the car. [P.S : I think it's pricier than the Wagon R - i don't know the price of it just a thought that it would be good for an elderly person ]
The best looking one would be the EK IMO.
Non Kei - I don't think you can get an unreg vitz for 3.3. A passo maybe for around 3.4... Axia maybe?

Just found a old pic. Called the guy at the yard.said its was sold some time back. Actually there was 2 very similar looking cars. Sad to see 18-8006 has gotten nastier. Owner seems to have taken the rare and valuable parts out. Notice the alloy wheels it has now? Crappy.. @Octanehead any info about the current info on these?

@alpha17 It sits lower than the Audi, so better comfort and more car-like. But I prefer the Audi,because the driving feel is much better and it feels like a suv. The Lexus has more tech inside along with the safety stuff(God I hate that beeping), which my mother likes. I prefer minimal tech. Just me the road and 15 Bose speakers for me. ?
I honestly cant see any difference in build quality. Both are top notch.
But surprsingly, almost everything on the lexus is optional(and very costly). The base doesnt even have gas struts for the hood ??♂️.
It starts from 31k USD and all the way to 46k.. ours has all the options you ever need and it was 37k.

@MrCat Its the 2 liter NA. Dont like them hybrid stuff, it drives boring as it is!
We got this at launch. So there was no hybrid at that time anyway. Sadly AWD was only on the hybrid, but we dont really need that in Cali.

This car was(I think still is) in the peoples leasing yard in maradana, that was back in 2010. Guess they never sold it. They used to quote 800,000. Had some work to be done. Buy it and retsore it. But at first it will not be a daily. Ask for 500,000. Because if its not sold for so many years, it means they will gladly let go. Have atleast anothe 500k in hand for restoration. Was a good car, fully loaded too. Rare. But its not a cheap BMW to pose around(for now ? )

Tried that , but the choice is nasty. Even most high end cars were in bad shape. Biggest issue is the mileage limitations, everybody only has 3000KM per month, I usually need like 6k. Extra kms is hella expensive..

Hey guys! So I was in the country for a month and was hacked with rental cars! I was thinking of buying a car for use when I visit yearly! I was thinking SUV because we be hauling ass (5 pax) with like 4 suitcases all the time. The budget is preferably around 5 Mil(can strech to 6.5 if absolutely necessary). My options are- 2011 up -Bmw X1 (basic AF and more wagonish,but should be fun to drive right?) 2015 up Tivoli-Already have one in the family,so not that keen! 2015 up Vezi- driving feel is absent, feels weird to drive. Best avoided! 2007 ish harrier. Bit overpriced I feel, but well kitted. Driving feel ? And bit old 2010 up kyron- we actually have a few ssanyongs. They were good cars. Used to own a kyron in 2010 for few months. I used to like the thing. But now I feel its ageing badly. About 3 million, so easier on the wallet and can save about 2 million. Also any others? Fuel and resale not cared for! Reliability should be on the higher end though, but a repair or two is ok! Thanks guys.

Hey guys! So some of you guys already saw my status and commented. Thank you. For everyone else, this is just a moment of humble brag. And a token of appreciation-to Autolanka ,for not making me a thel higanna. I joined this forum in 2012 (was reading since 2010ish actually) when I only had a rusty mountain bike with no brakes! Over the years I climbed up the ladder slowly with some very memorable cars(mostly “ engris number nemei ne” and “ market na”cars) .Learned lots and finally obtained my dream(always wanted an Audi Crossover) Didn't think of resale,fuel or what not. Just followed my heart! This is actually my second Audi, 1st one was an A4 B5 1800 Petrol non turbo. Had that car for 6 years with most of it parked at home due to no money to pump gas even though it did around 9 (my parents got me the car, I was 19ish and jobless) I got this baby on valentines day 2018 (weird ???). Paid for with my very own hard earned cold hard cash! Sleepless nights ,16 hours of work per day and countless hardships later, shes here! Its a 2018 Audi Q3 2.0T Premium Quattro. 200 HP and 210 Torque! Has all the gizmos you would ever need! Didn’t go for the safety pack as I wanted to drive it, not the opposite! 0 to 60 miles takes 6.3 secs. The stock exhausts makes sounds that can put some sports cars to shame(yes it bangs,pops and chuuz). Im sure you all see in my bio near the comment top that Im not in beloved Sri Lanka at the moment! Wish I could ship her to SL,but no luck because we drive on the other side here! It does 13KMPL on the city with AC and a guy who floors it hard.BEGONE THOTS IN YOUR PREMIOS AND VEZI’s ?. The traffic I drive is twice as much in SL and its hilly. But atleast no hooligan tuks, suicidal bikes and dham rajinas doing nagina on the road (facepalm) This is not showing off. Just an Appreciation to AL and the community for giving me the inspiration to do more(god know I would have bought a vitz if not for AL). But sad to see the newer generation of car buyers, makes me weep hard. Does anybody even care about driving the damn thing anymore? instead of resale and fuel? Nope, they want Sumana's and Hashani's jungi to drop while doing 100kmpl and spend nothing on Maintainance. Some pics for you guys to enjoy! Drove this last Saturday. IMHO the current A4 is the best in class when it comes to technology and interior.! The Audi Virtual Cockpit is a ripper.! Driving Dynamics are a pretty average but. Its like a big sedated Golf GTi. My mind says A4 but the heart keeps going back to the BMW 3 series. Trying to decide between the two..
