Go for Michelin, for me best performing tire for SL roads.Even it is manufactured in Thailand it outperforms all the main stream brands.

Fiat Grande Punto 2007 Petrol 1.4L Multi-Tronic
peugeot407 replied to LolithaB's question in Car Buying Information
I am pretty sure there has to be a mechanism to release the gear in Punto .Different manufactures have different methods. One of my friends uses a Diesel Punto as a day to day runner and averages about 3000km per month without any serious issues. -
Implementation Of Up To Date Price Database For Autos
peugeot407 replied to codexdj's topic in Feedback & Suggestions
For brand new vehicles this is possible. But for used vehicles we can't determine an exact price due to the variation of price upon the condition, YOM, millage and the registration number of the vehicle. -
Diesel cars are usually more economical than petrol cars I would like to recall that Peugeot 406 HDi holds the world record for the longest distance driven on a single tank of fuel Also diesel cars are more popular in European countries where both petrol and diesel prices are almost the same(some times diesel is more expensive)

I recommend FBL brake pads,If you use FBK it would damage the disk
-
Be aware of premature brake pad wear and battery issues

If you increase the height of the vehicle it will badly effect the driving characteristics of your vehicle so just sell your vehicle and buy a SUV!!!!

Problem with automotive LED head lamp is with the increase of temperature(engine heat + heat from the diode) efficiency decreases(intensity decreases) and the life of the bulb also get effected. so when installing a LED head lamp proper cooling system must be used. Original LED head lamp unit will cost you about Rs500000/=. No point of installing cheap Chinese H4/H7 led bulbs because these bulbs will not produce any effective light. Just use normal Halogen bulbs. If you really want to increase the power of head lamps use Osram night breaker bulbs. http://www.osram.com/osram_com/news-and-knowledge/automotive-special/night-breaker-plus-limited-edition/index.jsp

I strongly recommend you to learn some basic electrical principles before doing it. Most of the vehicles are originally equipped with a relay for head lights to bare the electrical load and to protect the switch

what are the available 250cc Japanese scooters in SL market?

I don't agree with you 406 coupe is totally different from 406 saloon so finding spares will be an issue in SL and when it comes to body parts situation worsens. Regarding the blue colour car I can still remember it dazzling in carmart showroom and I was fantising of driving it, back in 2000 when I was a Kid

My one is 70000+km. I have the calliper pin noise very badly.I don,t know how to fix it.

Since you are buying a used vehicle it's price is already depreciated so the second hand market value want be an issue. As a car Punto is far ahead than it's Japanese counterparts.when you consider maintenance costs if you use genuine parts both European and Jap parts will be same like.

Simply replace the battery,

I don't agree with you.usually there is a sump like area inside a fuel tank where the submersible pump is installed so pump will be submerged in liquid even your fuel level drops. But it is not advisable to use the vehicle continuously when the fuel warning lamp lights up.(In case of the VIVA digital fuel gauge starts to blink)

what is the problem with small cars? if they are properly maintained they can handle any road in SL(on road).only problem is the comfort.
