I think so, hybrids have a different brake system and they cant be repaired normal mecahnics

I would think the harnessing of kinetic energy would be done at the diff or at the same point that the electric motor powers the car. The brake pads are needed only for heavy braking (like any other car).

Yes thats true, but hybrids also have a regenerative breaking system

Given the fact that it has a different braking system from a normal car, if i had a hybrid i would take it to an hybrid maintenance place to get it changed
