hi guys, Can somebody recommend a reputable joint to get some body repairs done. There's are some minor dents and paint scratches on my vehicle which i need to get done. I went to K**** P**k body shop recently... almost fell off ma chair when the guy handed me their estimate . I dont mind paying slightly more if someone does a good job...but their estimate was absurdly high Thanks and regards

Agree with most of what has been said... also i believe the homepage should always be up to date. The older stuff should gradually moved away to make the site more current. I mean right now there a header saying "19-03-2005 - PICTURES NOW UPDATED !!" ...

Hi, I think i asked this previously but did not get a reply... I bought a Vios a few months ago, and the guy at the car sale said specifically to use only Non synthetic oil for this engine! Any idea why he would say that??? Regards, Jehan

Hi, I have a 2004 vios my self, bought for 29.5, 6 months ago ... and as Don mentioned I too really dont see the point of of exchanging, essentially the same car, which you can upgrade for a fraction of the price. So is the milage differrence worth as much as 1mil? Dont know the condition of your car, but It also seems to me that the car sale is undervaluing your one by 150k and over valuing the unreg by about 100K.

Hi, Just writing about something that really ticks me off. Morons in big SUV's flashing their headlights at ya. I'm calmly driving along @ around 60-70 and SUV dude suddenly shows up at around 100 and starts flashing his headlight as if to say "I'm big and important, get out of my way" ! Anybody experionced there self important nuts? Its one thing if ur driving slowly but that's not the case. I for one nvr let these morons pass by switching lanes, and usually slow down my speed Any thought's guys? Maybe a few headlight flashers themselves in AL as well Best regards

Thanks for the reply's folks. I'll probably be able to get down a cleaning kit from a friend who's in dubai. Anyway according to it's specs it needs servicing every 50000 KM. So i have a bit of breathing room since my milage is in mid 20k. bhanu128 - Are u sure it'll take 2 whole days to dry??? Well its a Non-disposable type which can be cleaned using whatever chemical is in the cleaning kit. You dont need to change it i suppose... I really dont know much about this technical stuff, but i guess the previous owner in singapore or wherever, swapped the factory fitted filter for this one for whatever reason.

Hi, My toyota Vios came with a non disposable air filter. When I took it to service (Pit###p) they didn't have the cleaning kit and wanted me to buy "K & N life time air filter cleaning kit" from motorcade. However when i went there over a month back they said they would get stocks in a month. I called them recently and again they say they will get stocks in a month! I tried M&M org and toyota lanka, but they dont have the kit either. Any idea where I could find this thing? Is the alternative to replace the non disposable air filter with a normal one Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Is turning off the AC and the Radio when starting the engine really necessary? Or is it an old wifes(mechanics) tale? I suppose i could understand doing this for older vehicles, but for modern stuff of the last 8 years or so? I wonder whether the vehicle manufacturers reccommend this, cause i've never heard anyone outside SL talking about turning off the electronics when starting the vehicle. Ant thoughts?

Bharath, Does toyota lanka do tuneups for vehicles like the Vios? I mean vehicles they did not originally sell?

I didn't get the manual for my vios either. Anybody got any idea what type of oil I should be using for it? I've been told to avoid synthetic oils for the vios though...

Can you advice me on exactly what needs to be done in a regular service, cause this is my first vehicle and i've got no clue, other than the oil change . Yeah, darker colors like black and wine red will be about 50k more expensive. Personally, i'm not sure i like like the odd shape of the fit . Anyway, i've heard that its a bit unstable at high speeds.
