I'm not sure of Datsun leaf springs but a Lancer (78-79 model) leaf spring cost 2000/- a few months back,need to hunt a bit,there is alos a joint in Pilliyandal who sell them

Hi Guys

All these are done by myself , there are lot of painters but don't like to recommend because i don't have my own experience with them. Brought a New :Leaf spring for the broken one,and need to buy few other rubber parts and going to start back again on 8th June,

Poson holidays are going to be with my b310 on a upcountry journey for 3 days,Tuned the engine and cleaned the carburetor with re jetting to have a super journey ,car is ready with a smile to start from Friday onwards

Hi Guys

Journey was super , B310 Gave me 15+ kmpl on moderate driving between 55-60 kmph with 4people 2 kids and lot of carriage , by the way back to colombo found another b211 , probably tomorrow i will be going to bring it down whicjh is on topping condition but, it is not for me for my friend who was very happy with OLD Datsun performance on the up country journey with me.

oh i am happy i made another good carburetor job and made another Datsun enthusiasm unexpectedly.

Hi Guys

i went Nawalapitiya and hatton and this was without AC ,

I missed the car which was for sale , was thinking to go and buy it today,and called owner to confirm by that time he has sold the car hours earlier i could not take any snaps of that car,

Few snaps of the Same B310 that i went this journey are available on this same thread on earlier pages too ..

Hopefully i have provided to datsun1200 community and there are some my own car snaps on the TECH WIKI pages too ..i myself doesn't upload them but that is datsun1200 club moderators job.there you may definitely find mine too .i my self and another guy who own a ute from nawala area who bought (Kohuwela AU Motors Ute that was for sale) members of the club forum as sri lankan.

Hi Guys

Since Front Brake Pistons are not in good shape i decided to make them new,

I want to Create Front Break Master cylinders Pistons like this,where can i get a decent job like this ?

i have already got one done by friend of mine this is little more weight than factory level Pistons but i hope that will work without any problem ,

it is a little tricky and time consuming job where can i get the rest 3 pistons done ? suggest me few places around colombo

Hi Guys

Prepared the differential with new Oil and Started rear suspension work with leaf spring bushing etc,Had issue of inserting upper Suckle Bush on Top Mount on suspension,Was struggling with hell of work whole day work got stuck in middle finally went through the Repair manual ,damn 8 bushes were 1 mm differ from original specs,

Useless day of sunday !!

So how would you solve the problem Sumiya? Will you return the bushes for new ones or will you try to take 1mm off them?

Hi Don

Since i need 8 more bushes of that measurement i would better try out a little more ,If hopefully have Nissan OEM no i think i will find them at panchikawatha,It is not so easy to make them suitable since i need to cut out some rubber from inside bush so that i can insert them into the leaf suckle.

Sumiya roughly when will you be finishing the project on ur 1974 Sunny? have you decided on a color for it? and will you be fixing an A/C? I have seen very few of these cars with A/C,not sure if they were fixed later or factory fitted ones?

i have maximum 2 days for a week to work on this

Hopefully within 2 other months,mine AC is factory fitted and there are some after market model too , AC is not a primary concern right now , but later day it should be ..

Hunting for Nissan OEM 55044-H5001 (BUSH-FRONT UPPER LEAF SPRING )

part no all over the Colombo still no luck it seems no body brought them down there are enough of 55046-H5001 instead of but little smaller in size, so finally decided to go for them and do some modification to make them suitable .

Hi Guys

Time has gone far a lot ,but i am behind the time as of restless life, meanwhile my projects is also going slowly,don't blame me taking so long time,all these suspension parts and leaf springs differentail have been fitted to the car .

and also new Brake master Pump.brake pads brake washers brake pistons caliper etc in.

and painted radiarator front grill fuel tank and also managed to oil primer coat and half of surface filler to the car ,

Next finishing target has been set to april, will try to sytrict to the schedule

Rebuilt the engine with new set of bearing and ring set with Standad size pistons and new set of valves and guides along with a head refacing ,

by the way there is another morris 1100 Mkii is waiting as the next project on behalf of the b310,B310 has to runabout another 1 year without a rebuild
