Axio Fuel Consumption

Hi Guys . .

REcently i Bought Axio Limited Edition 2008 and went to vavuniya abt 250 KM from colombo @ speed pf 55km/h - 70 km/h -- its works 20 KM/L . .Its true . .and awesome for me . .just it cost Rs.1600.00 to colombo to vavuniya . .

ahaaa..you fixed an Apsara unknowingly to anyboday neda?...

Dude are you sure?? :huh: I thought it does 50km/l. Maybe something wrong with your or your cars engine you should get both of them replaced.

this is my experience with nzt 260 1.5 l 2009 model, reguler runner kandy - anuradhapura, i have pumped 20k petrol (before recent price hike ) for 2900 km, and it is around 16 - 17 km/l ( most of time single passenger with a/c , no much goods to carry.

Actually kids, this might be possible. Low traffic, steady speed, might be done. Depends on the road tho.

What? I have an Axio and it does 17kmpls on outstation. COlombo I average 12kmpls.

Why is it funny? Its no laughing matter these days... I am up against 50kmpls Hybrids and I will never be able to flog my Axio with folding mirrors and ashtrays at even half the price I bought it for... hayyyooo... so I have to somehow squeeze out extra kmpls from the car to convince the next idiot that he can go to Vanni and back with 10 liters of gas.

the really sad thing is no matter what we think.. the AXIO is not a car that needs to be talked about with fuel mileage.. i mean its a mid size family car and i am sure there are many more aspects of it that one can talk about than doing 20KMPL which is utter gecko shit.....

i mean a car that has nothing going for it like a maruti or some other chinese crap u should be talking about fuel effeciency.. our axio owners are really not doing justice to this car...

but i still wouldnt buy that.... no matter what... just saying i am sure poor my. toyota didnt intend to compete with the prius when he designed the AXIO.. its just sad.. .very SAD..

yes peri. always depends on many factors. lot of negativity if i say this bt it's true.

I got a vios and drive in different styles at various instances. If it's for fun, I rev it up and don't think about fuel eff.

wen i got no hurry and no traffic for a long distance this is what i do

33psi for front and 30 psi for rear (as in the manual) i sacrifice the comfort of course but if it's a good road then no issues.

normally in the last gear 50km/h --> 1500 rpm and 80km/h -->2000 rpm I don't exceed the latter mostly.

and if there's no load in the car much better.

and I do service the car at the right times and use Semi synthetic oil and K&N air filter.

I don't know how the oil and air filter would have contributed but the rest really do give a good figure for me (not as much as 20 though)

don't worry mate..your figures are right..thats the real figure you are getting..I used an Axio for few months and got the same figures as you..I don't know why people cannot admit the real fuel consumption figures..
