Land Cruiser 200 Or 2011 Montero Or Discovery 4 ??

hi guys ! i would like to knw ur opinion as to which vehicle is better ? all three are diesel. which one has the options and best value for money, and which is best on road and off road ? which one wil have the best resale value in sri lanka ?

The best off-roader will be the Discovery,and as always the Landcruiser will hold the best market value.My choice would be the Discovery,mainly because of driving pleasure and she looks great...but if your a person who seeks for market value,spare parts availability etc etc the landcruiser or the Montero would do....After all its you who's driving....So good luck

Don't know why you are even considering the Montero, cos its in a completely different class. Even the Disco 4 is to be compared with the Prado! and Land Cruiser 200 would complete with the Range Rover!

Any way when it comes to everything the Land Cruiser 200 is well ahead of the Disco, I mean in built quality, ride comfort (air suspension version), off road capability, space, and more importantly suitability to SL. Discos are extremely unreliable!

about the resale value; if you are getting a diesel I assume its over 30 million (unless its for a permit) so don't think its going to matter too much cos you can afford it...

i agree with poscher... LC200 is in a different level.. however if you are going to get it on a permit from the agents, the prado offers quite abit more options... check it out for urself at toyota lanka

If you are going to spend 31mn i think you are better off getting a patrol 202... 202 is the new one

LC 200 Would be a better choice for me, but then i dont mind the Disco 4 too as its uncommon and will make me special.

Well why not get yourself a LC200 Diesel, as they say its very sellable, but then again it depends on what you want to be seen as when you go on the road.

A matter of personal preference I would say.

Jaliya, if you want an investment, invest in precious metals (Gold in particular) or oil futures, Not a motor vehicle which is perishable by definition.

very true !! my point is spending on a sports car or a merc for eg is fine even if its depricate ! but buying a japnese vhcl for daily use, you should have a good resale value !!

Alright, would YOU spend 31 mill and buy a used vehicle, when you have the option of so many brand new choices? Why would you?

If you have that much money, hopefully you have enough education to understand what a depreciating asset is.

An LR isn't Japanese.

You want a Japanese vehicle that will hold its value for daily use, get a Premio.
