tks fookie,

care to explain why? I was thinking this would be good for the engine with more power as well as lower smoke..

super diesel would be cleaner than the normal and is the only difference to the best of my knowledge. less smoke I don't know but super diesel would be smooth on the feed circuit, filters, pump and injectors they say. Run for sometime and find the difference in smoke and pick-up/power.

i pump super diesel in colombo and the normal one when i cant find the former in sheds outstation

dont notice any difference at all...

still prefer super super diesel...not a huge difference in cost and i "feel" safer with a premium product...especially given our local conditions

Jami what do you mean? You mean a higher sulphur content makes more of the injected fuel to be burnt?

Not that much, but less sulfur helps to a clean environment, Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel, should contained of maximum of 15 (ppm) sulfur. so sulfur content is need-able.

i wouldn't agree with this coz my dad pumped super diesel for his SU13 and he had to change his fuel filter or something(before the dirty fuel problem), maybe its coz here in kandy people rarely use super diesel so they rarely fill the tank with new fuel

Must be one isolated instance

I sometimes pump IOC Xtra Mile, normally Ceypetco blue. I've not noticed any ill effects, other than the (extra) hit my wallet takes.

P.S. Mine is a 2C engine as well.
