Errrr is it so hard to keep pressing the brakes at a traffic light ? Us folks who drive manual have to press both the clutch and the brakes you know

LOL, true true..I guess we "auto drivers" have gotten a bit lazy. I have always marveled at how "manual drivers" do it specially in the crazy traffic here in SL :grinning-smiley-003:

Jeeez, it`s not that hard if your legs are not half paralyzed man..! Leyland bus drivers do all day everyday. I`ll keep driving something with a clutch until my left leg`s busted:D (or till I can afford a good DSG perhaps)

Yeah I completely agree. But for me shifting to N its really beginning to be a habit :(

I picked up the habit out of necessity. Once on a long trip my car had a problem that when I slow down and stop at traffic the engine would die, unless I kept giving it a little gas. So to overcome this problem as soon as the car came to a stop I would put it on N, put the hand brake and keep revving the engine. That got me home until I was able to take it to my mechanic and fix the problem. Now even though the problem is fixed I keep doing that, partly for that reason and partly because it gives me some thing to fiddle with while waiting in traffic. I should probably start fiddling with the radio instead..

I drove a manual diesel Townace till 2 months ago, and I must say my feet never got tired the way my right foot does now in my auto Vios :(

I think its something psychological, also happened to me also when i was driving an auto for a short period.
