@Don: I don't know an exact ''major'' technical reason as to why STI conversions that I know require quite a few trips to garage. Most of the time it's minor issues like engine misses, funny noices, car not pulling as much as it should. I suppose nothing goes like a well taken care of original.

I think these are common STI issues, present in both originals and conversions and probably not related to conversions. One of the main problems with the STI is that it needs high octane petrol or it starts to miss a bit hence quite a few owners mix AV gas with petrol to overcome this issue. Also the Boxer engine is a little bit temperamental at times and does require specialist knowledge for certain aspects like clutch replacements etc (if you haven't done it you won't be able to guess!). I used to be acquainted with probably the most highly regarded high performance Subaru expert in SL (at least at the time, things might have changed) and this is some of the wisdom he imparted on me.

i think i am about to find-out what's it like to live with an original Subaru, will see how it goes :D... Boxer note is worth a bit of trouble I should say.

Gentlemen,

Sorry for popping up an old thread. Today I went to see a Glanza V (conversion) advertised on the quick site. I was under the impression that Glanza is not very good on fuel (somewhere aroud 6 and im ok with that) but the current owner claims he gets around 12kmpl in city. I'm finding it hard to believe that figure. I'm not all that concerned about the fuel economy but what he said confused me.
Are thre any current/previous Glanza owners here? If so can anyone tell me the figures you are getting? Because if what he said is an utter lie then I know I can't trust anything else he says.

Cheers.
