A Small Hum From The Backside Of My Civic Es8 When Its Parked

Hi, i bought a civic ES8 last month and there are no issues while driving. however, last night i heard a hum sound similar to a phone vibration coming from the back side of my car. it was coming every 1-2 mins and lasted around 5-10 seconds. car is fully power off. couldnt figure out y so moved the car to another place and it seemed to stop. morning i didnt hear anything so when out in the car and came back in the evening. later in the evening i could hear the same humming. it was coming from the back and from the silencer side. but car was full cooled now. i even touched the silencer from my hand. so then i removed the battery connection. the humming happened once and after than it stopped. things seem to be ok so i connected the battery again started the car reversed a bit so the humming stopped.

still i cant figure out the cause? does anyone of u have experienced something like this. or can u tell me a good mechanic to show this n ask what happening.

Thanks in advance.

Was the car key set to on position when you heard this noise? (as in the engine was off but the key is still still in the on position)?

Hi, no there is no power antenna. no fart cannons or whatever than means. only the stock silencer. not an animal coz my dog can smelli animals kilometers away. and no key was removed from the car and was '0' position

bro.. no need to worry. this is coming from petrol engines. there are some mechanism to remove forms on petrol. that unit sounds like that only. thats not a big issue. and same kind of sound can be comming from power antenna motor. simply you can ignore that sound. :)

So your answer is that it's 'normal' fr a humming sound to come from the rear end of a car, and that it is to remove the 'forms on petrol'? And that to have the power antenna motor constantly running is also ok??? And that if you ignore the sound will go away?

WTF?

Has it ever occurred to you that it could be the sound of the fuel pump?.... or a beehive in the back? :)

It's just the answer which OP was expecting. If we were to say something was wrong in his car he wouldn't stomach it.

Lately the forum is full of blokes like this. Makes you wonder who the real spammers are...

brother no need to fight right? yes in honda, sound is comming from fuel pump only. coz that unit is inside that as i heard from an expert. same kind of sound is comming from the power antenna unit so cant figure out unless we hear it properly. both sounds do we need to worry? thatz why i said simply ignore.
