i am hoping to buy a registerd car arond 1.4 million. my main concern is good look and safety. can some one suggest me the options? what about toyota soluna ?

I don't think so. Try to find a highest grade of AE100, I think it's SE Limited.

If u're looking for a non-toyota option,it's best to buy a Lancer CK1,CK2 or Honda civic. I think they are the best looking and best in the performance (considering the sporty design). And if you go for an economy ride,it's the toyota Tercel. It's not only economy,but also it has the stylish look and a considerably powerful engine.

See if you can find a Brand New imported Proton Impian. You might get a 2005/6- one for that price and comes with ABS, Dual Airbags and the works and its quite a comfortable ride.

I mentioned this because you didn't specify fuel economy as a concern.

impian is a good car, but by the time some one has to sell it he will have to sell it along with his a**s sad but thats the truth in SL car market.

I've got a Tercel EL43,1993. That's a nice ride,comparing the economical fact,comfort and the Engine. It does around 15km/l in the city areas & around 18 in Highway. Although it is an economical car,the engine has a considerable power (acceleration & top speed). You can find a 'G' number tercel with ABS & Dual airbags. Toyota Corsa is also the same car (Tercel).

Considering the durability,low noise & smoothness,it's better to go for a Honda,Mitsubishi or a Toyota car.
