If you are referring to the blind spot monitor, It`s a radar to detect any vehicle hanging around at the blind spot area. Helps in changing lanes by illuminating an indicator at the side mirror.

what is " lane change indicator " and how this works ?

Some cars have a feature (I've noticed it in European cars, others might have it too) where the indicator stalk can be gently nudged so that left/right indicators will illuminate three times (I think its called three ticks). The indicator stalk needs to be pushed quite a bit to activate the steady turn signal, but a gentle nudge will activate the three ticks which is great for lane change indication.

The Toyota Vios comes with that feature. It doesn't have a timer though, it just continues operating as long as you hold it in either position. The tick tock sound (electronic simulation in my car's case) is muted at that position too. And before anyone says its just the play in the right hand stalk, the feature is documented in the user manual.

As if any of these helps in SL with our regular Bus/TukTuk/VivaElite/Maruti/DumbTruck/etc drivers.... ;)

haha, I knew it was a matter of time for you to insert VivaElite to the Allion/Axio/Alto/Bulto club :D
