Tesla will definitely have record sales in Moon.

Car is more suitable for there once the road network is finished. ICE is not practical at moon which have no atmosphere where Tesla's electric motors can roam the caters of the moon.

On the other hand unlike the planet Earth; Moon has no rainy days; thus providing 100% sunlight during the day time. Hence the supercharger can power the Tesla eternally in a greener way.

The customers only have to connect to Tesla HQ via a satellite link for their annual software upgrade.

It is wise Elon Musk has started production now and appoint Califonikan to market it to SL. I am proud to be a member of a forum which consist of such futuristic people!

So it took almost 100 years for EV industry to come back after the initial blow. Hope next return will be in a lesser cycle period (At least with in Cali's life time)

True, Supra. Electric vehicle charging stations go back a hundred years and are nothing new at all.

There's been a major push in major markets over the last decade especially to build up the EV charging infrastructure. Even some of the supermarkets and shopping malls where I live have had EV charging stations in the parking lots for years now so people can charge their cars while they go shopping.

History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.

Karl Marx

The 2nd return of the EV was in the late nineties with the 1996 GM EV1, 1997 RAV4 EV etc......

GM EV1's and RAV4 EV's being charged at charging stations circa the late nineties.

And in the U.S. at least the 3rd return of the EV is well underway and has been for a few years now. But Marx never told us what happens the 3rd time around...

I.m not an expert of Marxism, but I interpret it as follows

Historic Event : 1910 1st introduction of EVs --> Failed

First Repeat: Late Ninetees, ---> Tragedy

Second Repeat: 2012, Tesla, Califonikan & Elon Musk ---> Farce

Cali, you seen the 3-year lease package (pretty hard to get one, though) on the little all-electric US Honda Fit? Bloody amazing monthly price, ain't it considering it covers all the outgoings.

Yup, the Fit EV is a great lease deal. By comparison the Nissan Leaf is $289 a month, but doesn't include the extras of the Fit EV.

These first public photos of the Tesla supercharger were taken at the night time Supercharger launch event earlier this week.....

Tesla-Supercharger-solar-charges.jpg

Although charging stations for electric cars are old news, the Tesla Supercharger has several innovations compared to previous chargers.........

1) Unprecedented charging power and speed: 120km of range for every 15 minutes of charging.

2) Completely solar powered. The innovation here is that the solar panels do not directly charge the cars, but the solar energy instead goes to a lithium ion energy storage system which can then charge the cars day or night, rain or shine.

3) Completely free charging and electricity/No cost to the driver. Tesla drivers can drive their cars powered by sunlight forever for free.
