Question

Posted

Hi all,

I seek all your greatest advice and information regarding Hiace 10-14 seat unregistered diesel vans.

I need to know the lowest priced models that I should look for.

I'm planing to start a cab service with this van.

I checked buying section on this site and also weekend papers but I'm confused as price seems to range quit a bit. So I turned to you :)

Thank you all in advance!

I think with unregs the deal is something is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it. If there is no demand you can even get something for less than the cost of import simply because its better to release capital than sitting on it for months with the expectation of a profit. Why don't you play some of these car sale guys against each other until one cracks and offers what you think its worth?

I've heard that if you are a registered cab service company and if you want to import a fleet of vehicles under the company name, you are eligible to apply for a duty free permit. I'm not sure about this though. I think I've seen this on a news paper sometimes back.

are you referring to the once that are known as "Commuter"?

Currently I'm looking at Hiace KDH200 models, going around 4 million.

Thanks for the tip Kevin, but at the moment I'm looking to buy only one van, I'll keep this info in mind for future use :)
