How Can I Install Gps Maps Software To A Gps Unit Bought From Ebay

i just bought a following unit from ebay.

New 7＂ Car GPS Navigation Sat Nav MP3/4

so it has only european maps i want to install srilankan map how can i do it and the cheapest way pls update me.

using it myself on a unit bought off online. software was 13500 at the time... Updates are free and if your unit can take a SIM card...you get live traffic updates as well.

My unit doesn't have that facility so dunno how effective that feature is though.

Seriously dude, when you buy something like this do some research. Sri Lanka isn't a well developed country yet.

it's not really necessary imo.

As long as it can take a micro sd or sd card you should be ok.

but the unit has to run win CE... If not it wont work.

talk to either sala or cityguide..

as stated earlier...if it's win ce, has a sd slot...it can run one of these mapping apps developed by local chaps.

Thats what happens when you buy stuff sort the list by price (on ebay) and buy the cheapest without doing proper research on the product.

the 4.3" unit in sl with map costs about 35k

Buying a 6" unit online is 10k or so...adding the map makes it 23.5k

that's still over 10k cheaper than buying from SL.... and people still want it cheaper?

then best is to stick to a foldable, printed map...

Even if you do research, you can't buy a gps unit with local maps, not detailed local maps anyway.

cityguide gps even have watering holes marked on it fuel sheds, atm's, hospitals, pharmacies etc etc

you gotta pay for those value additions cos maps dont make themselves...

ok thanks for your advice nextime if i ask some matter regarding vehicals from you i use your given words and so far if anybody hurt for the word " dear" im sorry for them.
