90 Or 95 Octane

With the current prices is it worth to use 95 octane petrol ?.

Rs 1,000 - 6.172 lit - 90 oct

Rs 1,000 - 5.882 lit - 95 0ct

for 1,000 rupees only 0.29 lit difference.

with the performance, better consumption & low emission i assume that 95 octane is more worth. What do you think ?

If your car engine is desined for 95, then use 95. If not, use 90. 95 doesnt give better performance or better emissions or better anything.

yeah, thats right,main advantage of 95 octane is reduce the pre-iginition knock.

I pumped it on and off from the Pelawatta joint when I was too lazy to visit Jubilee Post. Made no difference for me, but I do remember the idling being smoother.

I heard IOC will be introducing a new diesel targeting the new european diesel engines. Will be at a premium though..

I pumped xtra mile diesel a week and it did show a big difference, the car is much smoother now! and I pumped xtra mile today as well
