Daihatsu Charade Diesel Or Petrol

Hi

I’m planning to buy second car as charade g101s for 500-600k. Most of the vehicles in this caliber manufactured year are 1988 or 1989. So, need your expertise on whether to buy diesel one or petrol one.

Any other idea within this budget also welcomed.

Buy a petrol if you are going for a car of that age. Diesel ones are too old and diesel charades are too bloody slow.

If you are willing to think out of the box, I would suggest a Fiat Punto SX. Does very well on petrol, ample spares are available and car will be much newer.

lots of Charades are in a bad shape to to bad usage, buy one that is good and also if your into a hatchback for that range as a 2nd car why not think about a Nissan March K10?

Nissan March K10 - a better choice. But fuel consumption is not great as Charade

Charades are known for it's ultra superior fuel consumption which sometimes un believable. I remember seeing a version with an electric turbo charger and I doubt it's a slow car either. However, finding one with proper body shape and less cataloy is very difficult. Another disadvantage is 3 cylinder engine wears out while you stare at it..
