Hey Guys,

Here I am with another Confusion and some of you may be Finding the Right option whatsoever. Anyway Using Chamois (synthetic or Natural) Is Wise/Recommended or not ? Actually this is Controversial as Some may say use it but just don't drag it over the paint just blot the water up. Some other one would say Dont use it at all as it will take your wax off . Actually I am Confused Because I Have been Using Chamois & I have No idea Whether Its taking off My Wax on the Paint Day by Day ? However What are your Views on this Being Car Owners / Car Enthusiasts over years & What do you Guys Recommend ?

Best regards,

Thanking you,

Nissan CDJ.

There is an on going debate, chamois vs micro fiber.

It all depends on what kind of detailing levels you want your car to go through. Every day cleaning and general detailing on car with so so paint condition, a good leather chamois that is kept clean of all dust and grease will be fine.

Besides, ideally in LKA, you should be waxing your car every month or so. So any wax that gets wiped off will be replaced. I use a wet wax every wash and once a month use a good paste wax such as Meguiars and buff with a micro fiber

But if you want pro level, concourse grade, I say go with micro fibre for even wiping the wet car.

I have tried several Micro fibre variants but none of them managed to really dry the car as they claim. From my experience they do not absorb as much water as a terry towel. Is it any different with 3M variant ? I've been using junk ??

I use a chamois, and I have no issues though. I think you need to keep at it, our humidity also does not help in drying things up fast.

Armour All, Wet Spray Wax, available at many supermarkets.

You wash the car, before you wipe, spray each panel and wipe to dry.

Another option is 3M Quick Wax. Can be sprayed while the surface is wet or dry.

I have been using charmonoix for ages...I usually blot/gently swob the water off and any residue that is left I wipe it off with a microfibre towel. I haven't had any issues but then I wax my car every month/change of season.
