Horn Not Work After Some Time Of Engine Start

Hi everyone,

car model is alto K10 and it has 02 horns. when engine heat going up, suddenly horn is not working and it has some tik tik sound when I press it. Electrician told that it is due to not having relay for 02 horns and put some relay. But still its not working after some time of driving.

If anyone can help me on this, highly appreciate.

what's the brand and type of the horns? after market horns AKA golubella ones? if that's the case it malfunctions when the heat level goes up. Try fitting it under the bumper where engine heat doesn't affect

If they're regular horns, it might be the adjustment screw expanding and locking up the contacts when hot. Try adjusting it. On the reverse side of both horns, you will see a small screw. When the horns start acting up, loosen this screw just a little bit (45° turn). Repeatedly do this until your horn starts working.

Before doing this, make a marking to remember the original position of the screw - just so that you can restore the original adjustment in case this doesn't work..
