Air Intake Cleaner On Nze141 Engines.

Hi,

I would like to know the procedure to use an Air intake cleaner. I have watched several online videos including youtube. But i couldn't find any relevant to my NZE 141 engine. BG , WURTH AND 3M sounds to be some popular brands.

Will this be a sucessful DIY job with good results?

I assume you are referring to throttle body/carburetor cleaner.

While it is okay for TB cleaner to be sprayed into some engines, some manufacturers strictly warn against doing so. Follow this thread and read up on the best way to clean a throttle body. Taking the throttle body out of the car, spraying TB cleaner onto a clean piece of cloth and then wiping the throttle body is what I would advise. If you must spray it, make sure your Idle Air Control Valve (IACV or ICV) and Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) are removed from the throttle body as they might get damaged as discussed in the thread to which I have provided the link above.
