If you're talking about old vitz(2000) you don't need to worry whether itz 1000 cc or 1300cc..beacuse every old model 1000cc vitz came with 4 cylinder vvti engine.which have more pulling power

But this problem applies for the vitz (2007) and above models.beacuse every 1000cc engines comes with 3 cylinder vvti engine which have low pulling power.and but 1300cc ones with 4 cylinder

If u r planning buy vitz old model.you dont need to worry about whether itz 1000cc or 1300cc..

Vitz first generation 1000cc had 1SZ-Fe which is 4 cylinder. Second generation 1000cc option changed to 3 cylinder 1KE-Fe. The problem of this newer engine is not actually about it's power. In fact it's little bit more powerful than older 1SZ-Fe but being a 3 cylinder engine it had it's own issues that are common to 3 cylinder engines. It's bit unstable at idle and at times leading car to vibrate a bit. And engine is louder when revved. Has good fuel economy in short runs. (Won best engine of the year in 1000cc category)

Even Belta 1000cc has this and combined with CVT gear box it still manage to climb hills but you have to thrash it/rev it hard.
