Question

Posted

Hi guys,

In my Nissan TIIDA (2008 yom), I can see some rust on below parts (I'm not sure what it called. shock absorber mounts? :speechless-smiley-019: )

I've noticed water is collecting in these areas when washing or raining. May be it is the cause to rusting

So is it possible to cover these pits with something like white grease?

Or I'm just over caring because this is my first car :pardon:

Would be nice IF you could use one thread to ask advice about the Tiida you own n not open several threads for the same car. Also like mentioned above grease would do and also some cars came with rubber covers on top, maybe your car came with a pair or maybe not, have a look

Well, No offence. But I created threads whenever i found a problem which isn't related :)

Also creating a single thread might mislead people because you know we might have different problems which suites on different categories like mechanical, electrical and general although it's the same car :pardon:

Thanks for your input :)

The heav-duty de greasers used by our service stations to squeeky clean engine bay may have been a contributor to this.. Just imagine the state of the electrical system

TO TREAT THIS, SPRAY SOME WD40

TT.

No offence taken at all... its just easy to go about the whole thing. being your 1st car its always good to have your concerns and worries in one thread...even for a person who myt have ur issues later on rather than referring multiple threads.
