Hi,

Yesterday I noticed that there is a mango tree sap in my car bonnet. I tried to remove it using car wash and then using compound. But those options failed. What shall I do?

thanks

Keep a piece of cotton wool or a cloth soaked in coconut oil on the sap mark overnight. Wash off the next day.

i use turtle wax bug and tar remover. not sure if its available here but picked up a bottle when I was in Singapore. Works like a charm.

Easiest is surgical spirit (rubbing alcohol). Tried and tested. Put it on a cotton wool, leave it on top for about a minute, wipe off. Wash off and add a layer of protection (wax) afterwards.

Things I have used to remove tree sap, and are known to work;

1. kerosene soaked rag

2. 3M adhesive remover

3. Surgical spirit (not entirely sure about what it will do to the paint in the long run)
