Question

I have Suzuki Swift RS Hibrid 2017 car, I am getting "Cruise control does not available" warning in dashboard (all the time), this started to happen since 1 month ago,,I bought the car in last December and cruise control was working at that time without any issue. Can anyone tell me why this happens? Thanks.

Hi Manura, Welcome to the forum.

The 2017 Swift has adaptive cruise control. The system can become unavailable if the radar sensor on the car are obstructed by dirt, water, road debris or a sticker that you may have put, covering the sensor. On most cars with ACC, the sensors/receivers are located in the middle of the windscreen, just behind the rear view mirror. On some, they're located on the front of the car (grille area).

If their view is blocked, ACC will not work. Check this first.

Hi Davy, Thanks for the quick response. I have serviced the car in company last week, and they scan the car with their system after I told them the issue, but no issue found,  Im in doubt why the scanner didnt detect the issue since there is a warning sign in dashboard as well :) Do you have any thought? I have not used any stickers for sure, though its not possible to check inside of just behind the rear mirror since it seems to be permanently fixed rit.

Your radar sensor should be in the front grill area drive side (Small flat plastic area) the sensor is behind this. If that is not obstructed might want to check the internals. Or just might be a simple battery disconnect and reconnect at least for half an hour.
