when the accelerator is pressed and released ,the engine is kept raised at idle without slowing down, and on motion after engaging gears the vehicle moves without the need to press the accelerator. i.e vehicle needs only the use of the clutch and the break pedal. Showed it to a mechanic and his advice is that the fault lies in the `door` of the carburator and not in the accelerator cable. your advice together with a recommendation of a garage where I can sought out this problem is very much appreciated
