Is this something to worry - 1KD-FTV Hilux, Prado owners?

Hi all,

Unsure if this is something that owners of the Hilux and Prado's to be worried in Sri Lanka but thought of mentioning this since I found this official letter from Toyota about the recall on a Prado that I have traded today.

looks to me recall was around 2016 for trucks fitted with a 1KD-ftv engine.

I might be raising something that already discussed on AL forum (i have tried my best to find any duplicate details before post this)

This is a good deed you are doing. I think the reason no has discussed this is that there might have been no prado/hilux owners in the forums during 2016 & if there were, they might have forgotten to share.

Now i'm waiting with my thaachi for that greasemonkey baas fellow.

This maybe have already popped up here, but our fellas killed the injectors much earlier with low quality diesel and had repairs done, maybe with precautionary fixes as well. I too had a 2007 Hilux KUN26 chassis code but UK trim, no injector issues though.

Only few Lux's affected but majority of the Prado's, let's see if anyone share the experience or this might be too late since this is  i am posting after 3+ years later.
