Petrol engine sounding like diesel

Dear All,

 

I'm in a serious trouble and I need your help.

I drive a Toyota Noah KR42 Petrol, after the van was parked for few weeks due to curfew, I drove it to the fuel station to pump some fuel, oil lamp suddently turned on. And the engine started sounding like Diesel.

 

I turned on the engine once a week and I didn't experience any issue.

 

What can be the causes ?

Did you notice any leaks at home/on your driveway? Try checking on the oil pressure switch (at the bottom of the engine block, behind the engine usually) and see if it's lose or has any leaks.

I hope you didn't experience any loss in power and didn't drive too far? Also did you note the color of the exhaust smoke and if it was excessive? I wonder if it's a deteriorated oil pump.

Can you check make sure whether your van have a diesel or petrol engine? If you know where your engine situated, just check and see.

First make sure whether it is Petrol or Diesel...????

Hope he didn't pump petrol into his diesel engine.
