Allion 2009 - Burning smell when accelerating quickly

Question

Posted

I have an allion (2009) - I am the second owner of the car and the genuine mileage is 129000.

I have done all the oil changes (including CVT on time)

I have an issue on my allion where I get a burning smell when I accelerate rapidly. Lets say, floor the car to rpm 4 or likes. There is a burning smell that comes thru the vents (likely) and it goes off as well - the car races and accelerates. I checked for oil leaks and there was an oil leak on the tappet cover and I did that repair - but the issue did not go away.

Have you guys faced a similar situation?

Can it be related to my gear box?

Please let me know any suggestions. thank you.
