Btw you would not know someone who might know more on the subject? my contacts in SL are no good anymore but i was thinking of the yacht guys. Those guys are known for bending hard wood like teak. There might be someone who wants to take a shot at it. It would be awesome if you could get a custom wheel made in an uncommon timber... just a thought. btw. have you see these? Yep there are Nardi Classico wheels that I can buy off the shelf. They are expensive and anyway I somehow like if I could retain my original. I'll take the wheel off one of these days and thanks to Pb2k who started this topic I have a spare plastic wheel until the wood rim is restored! They took on the job as a special favour since the guy who runs the place loves Alfas.

GTAm
Got my baby back home (well office) at last. This is the rear end at last with proper Carello lamps and not the Daihatsu lamps I had to put up with for years! As mentioned before the paint work is fabulous! My pics don't do justice to the actual finish.....of course I'm missing an arm and a kidney after paying for it....but then life is short isn't it? (hmmm what else u got two of that you can sell? ) Rims won't (or can't) come so soon after so much expense. So I'll stick with these ones for a while though they badly need a cap to hide the open middle. Mind you these are light alloy although they look steel rims! After the engine in dropped in I will consider if I want to lower the car very slightly with a set of stiffer springs. Hmmm definitely can't sell anything below the waiste

Devinda_Z
i'm going to make things difficult for you GTAm , i say image 2 is what you should be aiming for with the bumper ON if the car had race livery and that kinda motif going, then bumpers off, but in your case i say its time to sell a lung since bellow the waist is not an option , and find yourself some chrome! GTAm
Thanks guys. I'm thinking I'll go for a compromise initially having them off for a while. But off means it would need to be lowered a bit or else it'll look a bit odd. I'm thinking of keeping the Alfetta v original and making this closer to a GTA look alike though it will never be a full GTA replica as this is the face lifted version. But depending on the comments I get I'll decide if I should get a new front bumper. I'm also considering strategically placed minor race livery such as white four leaf clover on fenders and some large white discs on the doors and a serpent on the bonnet........but such a long way more to go........ Pb2k
if you respect yourself as a driver you won't take bumpers Dayan Who on earth would want to hit such a beautiful car (signed : a bumperless driver for the past 3 years)

Devinda_Z
Marangoni M430 Alfa Romeo Mi.To Tuning brand Marangoni, previously only associated with making performance tyres, has gone slightly manic on an Alfa Romeo Mi.To by blowing the Italian luxury mini car to a stupendous level. From the car's 1.4T-Jet they managed to force out 220hp/ 164kW, up 65hp/ 48kW from the standard turbo car. These numbers are comparable to the Ford Focus ST and Renault Megane RS R27. Power delivery is said to have been achieved from very low revs on the little pocket rocket which Marangoni calls an M430. Aesthetically changes include lowering the car by more than 4cm, bolting on scissor-style doors infusing various air inlets with the body, a rear end diffuser and four exhaust pipes. Those red low-profile tyres match both exterior and interior theme, and measure some 18-inches. Mi.To's major rival the MINI's last limited edition unit was the 2006 MINI GP, which made a fearsome 220hp from its 1.6-litre engine. Marangoni may have just given Alfa something quite tangible to work from. The styling is hideous! GTAm
Terrible styling but great to get 220bhp from 1.4 liters! I'd lose the red tyres as well
