Guys I got the idea from another forum but this is a very interesting topic. To list 3 of your favourite cars from each decade. If you do not know cars from certain decades, just leave it blank or do not list those.

Hey dhp you can list the ultimate top 3 from 30s to 50s.

About the 911 for me the stand out cars are the 930 turbo (thought about the 2.7 RS as well but how could I dismiss the Countach and the 930 turbo has so much presence and looks the more 70's car with that massive tail) and the 993. I don't like the 996 for example and nor do most Porschephiles.

The 8C 2900 Lungo (long) - What a coooool car! Straight 8 and a top speed of 125mph in the 20's!!!

Duesenberg SJ Speedster.... one of the earliest "Supercars" Supercharged Straight 8 Developing nigh on 320 BHP, 0-60 in under 8, and top speed "in excess of" 135mph..... not to mention more than two tonnes in weight!

Deuseys are cool. I watched a programme on either Discovery or History about them. Any idea if they ever entered competition?

Btw most 8Cs also had twin superchargers and it was only the lungo that had the lowest top speed probably due to its weight. The Normally aspirated 2900 A Pinin Farina Berlinetta for example hit 143mph !!!

AFAIK they werent officially entered into competition, though a couple of modded ones apparently ran for production car speed records....

Yes the Lusso is gorgeous. But I prefer the purer swb......But somehow I love the tdF the best...............og and then there's the 275! Phew. I think it's easier to look for the unlikable Ferraris !

I have seen that very same 8C 2900B Berlinetta in person! (small world huh?). Its in the Collier collection in Naples FL. I guess. This is the reason I didn't list any pre war cars, cos my head actually hurts trying to narrow down to just 3 cars. It cant be done and I wont do something blasphemous like that.

THATS a rather suprising choice GTam..... may i ask why? I've always liked the GTC4.... essentially almost a 4 seat daytona.... it looks pretty as well, apart from the black plastic in front....
