I heard there are more than 40 car entries including 8 super cars and 46 motorcycle events with top riders

MRA always conducts good quality race meets

Drive safely everyone. I remember there was a fatality coming back from the first Tissa races. You can easily get carried away into speeding on that road.

With regards to the off Road event,

It was run as three categories; Novice, Safari and extreme

There were only two novice entries,

Winner - Michael Malagala (Chrysler Jeep - old model)

Runner up - Anton (Nissan Patrol)

Safari were for the Thissa and Yala crowd using safari vehicles. (it should be noted that the winner of this event was faster than the novices)

Extreme event consisted of about 10 drivers.

Winner - Indika Sanjaya (Land Rover)

Runner Up - Viraj Rathnatileka (Mitsubishi Pajero)

2nd Runner Up - Osanda Maligaspe (Land Rover)

It was good to see a Land Rover winning all the Jeep categories at the races yesterday. I'll try posting some pics I took but they are one sided.

osanda's jeep wasn't moving very well at the T and J event but it sounded beautiful!

with the lack of tarmac races i doubt you'd see much of the M3... i've seen the car on the road however a month or so ago...

Damn, I haven't been to a championship series proper race since the last Fox Hill. Not counting the one I got there in time to see the last race in progress. Have to do better this year.
