for a second i thought it looked like a Briklin SV1 - does have its commonalities with the lines of the DMC12 , but this possibly preceeded both of those...

Absolutely. I had never seen this concept until now, although maybe there was a Matchbox model of this?. Looks very Giugiaro, and you can catch a glimpes of the Ital Design board on top.

I'm sure it would've been far too adventurous for the sensible Germans. Gugiaro just mistook Porsche for Lambo. What a stunner!
