seems like a awesome location to get stuck in the mud.

bro so did you dig in the wheels to clear it up and they take it out.

Machan what i found as that there are some kinds of mud special the mud which is used to make briks ( kiri mati ) is really hard to get out of once you get stuck.

yeah kaudulla would be the best in months of august just when the dry period is over.

We faced a similar chasos in nachchikuda - Anuradhapura...Lack of preperation / underestimation of the difficulty level of the terrain and overconfidence often invites trouble.

We got bogged down inthe middle of a "wewu pittiya" after driving through afew "gadol meti walawal"

hi-lift jacks are quite useless in heavy muddy areas. X jacks are nice for such areas

yea velo...

gadol meti (kiri meti) is the hardest to handle. I also have discovered that when there is water there is a better chance of coming out from whereever you are rather than just the mud.

for an example ... an "Ara" or lake can be fairly easily drivern through than some "kiri meti" mud tracks.

may be the water dissolves the mud inside the tyre threads so that it gets more grip !

Glad to see the 4x4 scene is spreading it's fuel around...

All this looks like good fun... but rember any cruising is safe & responsible cruising...(not to burst any bubbles)

Always plan ahead, check the terrain and also keep your guide informed of your plans, Unfortunatly I know of few people who have gone over the limit and are basicly stoped from entering these places.
