Devinda_Z
By Stephen Dobie 17th December 2008 Clearly the world doesn't have enough mad hypercars, with the Bugatti Veyron, Ruf CTR3 and TVR Speed 12 clamouring for more competition. It has come in the shape of this, the Zenvo ST1, quite probably the world's first all-Danish car. It's a rear-wheel-drive coupe, propelled by a mid-mounted 7-litre V8 which boasts a supercharger and turbocharger - making it good for 1089bhp at 6900rpm and a fairly frightening 1055lb ft, which is available from 4500rpm. Whether all of that can be transferred to the tarmac without repercussions is an entirely different matter. Claimed performance for the 1376kg coupe is 0-62mph in around 3sec, 0-124 in under 9 and an electronically-limited 233mph. That allows it to drive the length of Denmark in 18 minutes, apparently. Mated to that monster engine is a six-speed manual gearbox and a hydraulic limited-slip differential. The brakes are ventilated discs, covered up by 19in alloys at the front and 20in at the rear, wrapped in Michelin rubber. Ceramic brakes are on the options list, and quite possibly a wise buy to rein in all that grunt. Also on the options list is a roll cage and four-point harnesses, turning this into a pretty extreme trackday car, no doubt. Development on the ST1 has been ongoing since 2004, with deliveries penned to start in 2009. Just 15 are set to be made, with no price tag quoted. It'll be at least six figures, if not seven we'd imagine. Source : http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/233195/zenvo_st1.html

Devinda_Z
The styling is rather interesting The front end honeycomb bits are reminiscent of the audi R8 , and the ducts on the bonnet section do bear vauge similarities to the GT40 & MC12 The sides bring to memeory the McLaren F1 for some odd reason.. Roof like is a tad Evora-esq.. all in all i'm going to stick my neck out and say i like it edgy - very contemporary looking , but just about different enough to not be forgotten.. MasterDon
over the top,yes...but i like it...reminds me of the audi which will smith drove in the movie irobot....come to think of it,it does look like an R8 in drag from certain angels
Supra_Natural
Very nice... too bad they saw fit to limit it's performance, I really want to see vokswagen's attempt at vanity publishing get comprehensively walloped pretty quickly.. I know that american concotion, the SSC Aero something is SUPPOSED to be faster, but i mean something that has the whole package, that will outclass that hideous truck in all aspects. And im guessing the only people who will be able to pull it off are the boys from woking, after all they've done it once before! btw, is it just me or does this have a certain resemblance to the GTR about the roofline? Yes please Usually when a small-scale manufacturer shows off a new car promising a top speed of, say, 270mph and a power output of, say, 1,287bhp, our reaction tends to go something like, “Lovely. Of course it will. Here, have a nice steaming cup of reality…” But, in the case of SSC and its new Ultimate Aero, we might withhold that scepticism just a touch. That’s because the current SSC Ultimate Aero is the holder of the ‘World’s Fastest Production Car’ title – a massive 255mph in Guinness-verified run last year in Washington. And the new one is set to be even faster. It’s 15 per cent more powerful, thanks to a new one-piece aluminium engine block, and has a whole bunch of new aero trickery, including a completely redesigned nose and new carbon fibre louvres to redirect air to the (presumably massive) radiators. There’s also a rear air brake/spoiler affair – similar to the one on the Veyron – which raises under heavy braking or at high speeds to provide extra downforce. SSC tells us that it has also completely redesigned the interior, but we don’t think that makes the Ultimate Aero go any faster. Still, the American team reckons the car will now reach a simply frightening 270mph, which would make it the world’s fastest production car by an absolute mile. Ambitious hyperbole or realistic target? We’ll find out in the new year… Source : http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/ssc-ult...boat-2008-12-
