A Ferrari In The Maldives...

Thought I'd share these pics with you guys since i found it strange for someone to own a Ferrari here on an Island.. It originally came in Black, and was paited Red, locally by a Sri Lankan guy.

It's owner also has a 350Z, RX8 and the latest addition, a Nissan GTR.. :blink: shall post the GTR pics in the coming weeks.. if I'm a round.

LOL... What do you think is the highest speed he'll get to? 40kmph? :lol:

Unless of course he has his own little race track on his own island....... :unsure: quite the posibility knowing them.. :rolleyes:

There is a new 'road' race track in maldives. They recently conducted a meet as well.

a Maldivian friend of mine once showed me pictures & video of a "track day " of sorts they'd had where they'd officially closed off an entire island all to them selves just so they could drive about!

interesting list of cars - a MKIV Supra , MR-S and some quick looking bikes! :o

Yup, this is it... I must say, they have done a really good pain job turning it Red.. do u know the owner?

yea but you could still tell it used to be a black one cos the headlamp inerts are still the original colour, though it does look more sportier i must say

Hulhumale is a man made island... it has the widest and most straight roads in Male` atoll. Ideal setting for drag racing.. also it has the least number of vehicles. I try n post some pics, if I got that way..

yeah i get 'em too.....time for madz to remove them i guess...or get peri to go on a field trip and snap a few new drag race pics. :)

Its not as glamorous as it was in the old days. Pretty much only the hard core left. The old days it was like a big street party. I did go some time back, when that Z ran, pics are on ALs FB page. The atmosphere has just gone. I remember the first time I went I saw a whole family, grandma and all, who had come in a batta van, put a mat on the floor sitting and watching things :D
