Guys need abit of advice. Everytime I change gear, weather at low RPM or high RPM, the revs ALWAYS go up. If I shift at about 2000 rpm's from 1st to 2nd, the revs go up by about 250 rpm's. and yes my foot is completely off the accelerator. If i floor it and at about 2600 rpm's quickly release the accelerator and press the clutch pedal, the rev's jump up to about 3600 rpm's. and at 6000 rpm's if i change gear the rev's go to cut off point (6600) before i can engage the next gear. Yes people i am 100% sure my foot is completely off the acceleretor pedal. The car has done 91,000Km's and it runs on strictly 95oct petrol and mobile super s plus synthetic 10w-40 (semi synth) engine oil and K&N air filter. It has gotten a EFI tune up etc. Other than this problem, the car acceleration is really good, does 10km/l in colombo and has no problems at all. oh its 1.5E Vios by the way. I showed it to the guy at the garage that does our service and tune up etc. he said that its normal in all cars. But I know for a fact that's not true. Any idea's as to why this might be guys?
Nissan is bringing in the Primera nameplate back. I hope it's not going to be some boring crossover but a car that will have superb handling, good responsive reliable motor like the Primeras of pre 2000. I also do hope they don't go under and the Primera becomes their saviour.
