Engine Swap For 98 Ek3

I have a 98 EK3 manual and I need to replace its engine with a higher performing engine to increase its street performance. What are the good engines available in SL and how much should I be ready to spend ?

rs 3 lks min ca n swap 1.6 dohc SIR .or u can put a 1.6 sohc vtec with few mods.(abt150t)

i've been reading this topic with interest...i certainly wont mind a lil' bit more power as well...but 250k+ is not do-able at this time

rather than go straight to an engine swap, why not try to tweak what you already have....

Agreed, 250k+ is a lot of money to drop on ancient cars like EG\EK, unless you are very very rich or you have your own recon parts bizz

though we tweak a normal motor, we can't catch the power of a B-series I think, unless we bolt a turbo? lol. And even if we tweak, we don't get as much gains as from a B-series?
