Turbo Repair

Hi friends,

I got a Turbo problem in my Delica P25 van engine (4D56T) and fortunately i found a mechanic in my area (Gampaha) and yesterday i went his place and he removed the turbo and dismantle da unit, den he wash da unit and replaced the Bronze bushes and fix it again.Then we had a test drive wooooooooW :blink: i was wondered a b the massive pulling power of ma van.He ask only 12k for the job and gave me the Warrenty too.........i think its worth.

how long did the job take?

did he wait until the engine cooled down b4 removing da turbo?

how did you find out there was a problem with the unit in the first place?

only 1 day for the job but mate u need to come with da dawn :lol:

His garage and yard is closer to my home so he didn't wait till it cool down

Less pulling power (when overtaking) and lot of black smoke.nw even in 4000rpm their is no smoke atall and da gala pulling power.

Hey thanks for the info mate!

so this means the engine was not really hot so he didn't have to wait?

otherwise, this thing gets damn hot with exhaust gasses going thru it and he couldn't have managed to remove it. besides you are not supposed to turn the bolts when they are hot

What is the relationship between black smoke and the Turbo ?

If the turbo is not working in good order we just hammered it and it burn lot of fuel but the not enough air to burn that fuel so cos of that we get the black smoke

this is ma idea only, any idea????????
