According to wiki 1.8 was sold in Japan from the beginning it self (did not wait till P11-144). It is Europe that offered 1.6L version. According to this site no 1.6 Primera was offered in Japan.

It seems there have always been 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 P11s .

Why dont you give a thought abot Mitsubishi Lancer CS1 CS2 or CS3 (2001-2003)

I use a CS2 EFI whoch does abt 12 - 12.5 km/l in city limit and does 16 km/l easily on long distance.

You can buy one for around 14k - 15.5k secondhand

In my openion it is very good value for money.

dark angel.. u should really consider about CS2. its fun to ride and economical but im not sure about above figures.. nice shape but gotta pay some extra attention.
