My main concern hight of the van. bumpy & damage roads. Sir, Your Van If you can show to me I will give Free advice to you how to make same comfortable to Passengers as I have done this for last thirty years from the time free imports came to Srilanka. You need only to change 4 ply Tyre and a small modification for your rear Suspension then bumping will be less. In 1970 late RH 11 Toyota was the most popular van which I did lot of modifications to make that van comfortable for Passenger transport. Wijesinghe. Thanks for your kind help Sir, Do you use this Van for loading or only as a passenger for loading have 6 ply Tyre is OK. As a passenger Van 6 ply on 13" rims will be uncomfortable Do you have 6ply Tyre on 13" rim 14" rims are bigger so there will be a little RPM problem for a Diesel van it will not effect much. 6Ply Tyre had same problem in a friend of mine's KR41 I advised him to change to 4 ply as he was using his van as a Passenger Van. He was very happy with 4 ply Tyre change. Mine also changed to 4 ply Tyre 13" Rim. In rear 2 helper springs are removed and used spacers for the gap of removed springs. Wijesinghe. Thanks for your kind help i dont think it'll affect RPM...but your speedometer is sure to function wrong if the wheel diameter is not retained...but it can be adjusted manually,i hear advace car audio people do that. I also changed my tires to larger tires for the sake of comfort, and now there is an error in the speedometer reading. Do we have to change anything in the ECU or is this a mechanical adjustment? Where is Adv#nce Car Audio located?

0 VVTi
Need some help.... I had an annoying hum in the car and after replacing he racers and all, decided to change the tires. They were running rather bald anyway. When the tires were being balanced, the tire shop fellow said that 2 of the rims a re a bit bent. This could be the reason its making a bit of the noise it seems. Now my question is, is there a good enough place to get the rims 'straightened'? 0 terrabytetango
Our facelift CR27 (Lotto) Townace is on 14" rims running Goodyear GT3 165R14 tires. I've done over 30,000kms on them and they've been pretty good so far. I did install KYB gas shocks in the rear though. Your biggest concern would be to make sure the wheel offset isn't too great, otherwise two things will happen: 1) The sliding door will rub against the rear wheel. 2) In wet road conditions, the front wheels kick up a nasty spray when you take corners (mud flaps will be useless), and if you happen to be driving with the rear windows open your passengers in the first row won't like it. This effect also makes it much harder to keep the body clean, both front and rear.
