17 1600s as well. SLARDAR tried to arrange a system of heat races with qualification towards a final but apparently the GT drivers hadn't been in favour of it. As huge as the grids are, it's almost impossible to pass at Fox Hill so GT and 1600 might not be great races per se. They'll still be bloody spectacular though.

Im leaving on 16th early morning. i am planning to stay at Hotel Olympus Plaza at haputale as Bandarawela hotel is full up.

Any other good places at bandarawela? Last time i was at Ella Motel and its bit far.

Yes Peri, Rizvi has 2 entries because you're allowed to enter 2 cars in SLARDAR championship events although you have to pick one to qualify and race. Janaka should be running the new car because Sanjeewa will run the GC WRX. Missaka did in fact have an IX before, DD's old one.

Have an eye out for Udesh Wedisinghe in the Evo II - the guy is all action.

That's the white STi 5 RA done by Darin right? Yup it'll be that, saw it about a week back at Darin's and it looked ready to roll in about a week or so

I've not been that side in a while and not too sure of drive times to get to the track!

Going in the morn might be an issue, you'd need a really early start, but you can get back to Col after the races.

Correct me if i'm wrong KLM but i kinda remember Udesh too riding long years back. I believe he was on a 400cc 4 stroker at the time...

thanks. according to dd's site... sigiriya track is roughly 140k from colombo....and foxhill is roughly 190k

for the 09 races we left colombo at 5am and reached sigiriya around 7am...

since the roads would be lot windy and difficult i'm assuming this will be around a 4hr drive???

say if one leaves colombo at 3 or so...can you hit the track before 8?

You're right. I believe all the Wedisinghe brothers (Ananda, Udesh and Sajith) competed in bikes at some point or the other.

I thought that was a WRX4. the conversion kit was certainly WRX4 when it was for sale & also displayed at the Motor Show. i guess once fitted to a car it turns into a STI5 RA
